With over 160 km of walking tracks, over 300 waterfalls & abundance of fauna & flora, Lamington National Park is 'a must see visit' on anyone's itinerary. See the treetop walk, true gondwana beech forest and be amazed at the huge strangler figs.

The nine smaller national parks of Tamborine Mountain offer a variety of rainforest experience with more tropical species including huge stands of pigabeen palms.

Binna Burra section of Lamington hosts aboriginal caves and dramatic views of breathtaking escarpments with full day and truly beautiful walks.

Discover Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk less than 20minutes by car, explore the Eco Information Gallery then take a thrilling walk in the rainforest canopies above on the steel cantilevered structures. Admission fee applies.

Heritage and History 

Laheys Tram Tunnel, Canungra. This sandstone tunnel, pierced in 1901, remains as testimonial to the ingenuity of our early pioneers. The tunnel can be walked through from the car park located on the main Canungra - Gold Coast road approximately half a kilometre from the township. Have you heard about Marian Valley?

Gold Coast Hinterland Wine Country

The food and wine trail goes right past our front door, sample some of the many vineyards and boutique wineries of the area. Many produce excellent award winning wines. We have in our area the Albert River Winery,Canungra Vineyard Winery, Sarabah Estate Vineyard (all the local wineries serve exceptional lunches) plus many more on Tamborine Mountain.
