Another community initiated road, Duck Creek is a bit worse for wear – 4WD only, but offers the opportunity to travel a loop through Lamington National Park. Travel to Beaudesert, home of the innovative Arts Centre, interesting local museum and great cafes and country pubs. Travel out through Kerry Vallley and enjoy the picturesque country scenery. Enjoy Heritage listed Lamington National park home of the Famous O’Reillys Resort, experience the amazing bird show and walk the treetop walk.
Return via Canungra, stopping at local wineries and visit Canungra Township. Enjoy a renowned Aussie Pie at “The Outpost” visit the Bric-A-Brac and Antique shops and Canungra’s Iconic Pub The Canungra Hotel for some country hospitality. Visit the Laheys Tramway Tunnel and wonder at the pioneering spirit of the early settlers transporting the precious timber through the valley.
